Audie Leon Murphy served with extraordinary courage during World War II and became one of the most decorated American soldiers in United States military history.

At just 19 years old, Murphy received the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions near Holtzwihr, France, where he single-handedly held off an advancing German force while directing artillery fire to protect his unit.

His bravery, leadership, and sacrifice stand as a lasting symbol of courage and devotion to country. Endowed with great courage in the face of these horrors, he was awarded 33 U.S. military medals, including three Purple Hearts and one Medal of Honor.
